Create a multi- layer fine art screen print.
Course content:
This Screen print course is set over 1 days and aimed at developing participants’ knowledge, skill and confidence in the screen printing process. Participants will develop an image to translate into a 3 to 4 layer screen print. Using a practical approach, participants will learn to prepare, coat and expose a screen, prepare paper, mix color inks and utilize various registration techniques for printing multi-layer prints. By the end of this course, participants will have a thorough understanding of the screen printing process on a basic level.
During this course, participants will complete an edition of 5 A4 multi-colored screen prints on archival fine art paper to take home.
All materials will be provided by the studio. The studio uses water based ink.
