Screen Printing Beginner Course with David Jasper Wong (Bilingual Course)

This Screen print course is set over 1 days and aimed at developing participants’ knowledge, skill and confidence in the screen printing process. Participants will develop an image to translate into a 3 to 4 layer screen print. Using a practical approach, participants will learn to prepare, coat and expose a screen, prepare paper, mix color inks and utilize various registration techniques for printing multi-layer prints.

During this course, participants will complete an edition of 5 A4 multi-colored screen prints on archival fine art paper to take home.

All materials will be provided by the studio. The studio uses water based ink.

Cost: $1400 HKD per person

Time: 11:00am - 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch break at noon). Please arrive 10 minutes before the class starts.

Artist Profile:

David Jasper Wong is a Hong Kong based painter & printmaker, he received his BA in Fine Art from Pepperdine University in USA and acquired further studied in printmaking from the Hong Kong Visual Art Center in Hong Kong. His works are held in public, institutional and private collections around the world. He has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions in Hong Kong (Impact 11), USA, Spain (Impact 10), Singapore.

絲網印刷：初級課程

創作多色分版絲網印刷。

課程內容：

此絲網印刷課程為期1天課程，旨在培養學員對絲網印刷過程的知識，技能和信心。參與者將顯影圖像以轉換為3到4層的絲網印刷。參與者將採用一種實用的方法來學習準備，塗上感光液和曝光程序，準備紙張，混合彩色顏料以及各種配準對位技術來印刷多層顏色的作品。在本課程結束時，學員將在基本水平上全面了解絲網印刷過程。

在本課程中，參加者將完成一版5張A4彩色絲網印花作品帶回家。

所有材料將由工作室提供。工作室使用水性油墨。

王大爲於在美國洛杉磯的佩柏戴恩⼤學獲得藝術學⼠學位，並在香港視覺藝術中⼼接受版畫培訓。從事繪畫和版畫創作的藝術家。 他的作品被世界各地的公共，機構和私人收藏館藏。他曾在香港、美國、西班牙、新加坡的個人和團體展覽中展出他的作品。

Minimum intake

Please note that we have a minimum participant intake in order to run our courses. This course has a minimum intake of 3 people to run. If there are less than 3 participants we may cancel/postpone this course, and we will issue a full refund. Participants will be notified by email if we cancel this course. Please note that refunds take approximately 2 weeks to be processed. We will issue the refund with the same payment method used by the customer.

Student cancellation

Please note we do not offer refunds to student cancellations. We are not responsible for any events/traveling issues students may have that are unrelated to the course. 

If we cancel the course for other reasons

If there is an unavoidable event/issue prohibiting the instructor or the studio to be available that requires us to cancel/postpone the lesson, we will notify students by email by 9:00 pm the day before the class. Full refunds will be issued to all students. Please note that refunds take approximately 2 weeks to be processed.
